Overview

Transforming Smartphones into Virtual First Responders

AidHub is a startup initiative designed to turn smartphones into life-saving devices, significantly reducing preventable deaths during emergencies. Operating as a virtual first responder, the application delivers real-time, voice-guided pediatric emergency support using globally recognized medical protocols. Unlike traditional apps with static content, it actively guides users - primarily parents and outdoor enthusiasts - through high-stress situations with calming audio, age-specific instructions, and instant decision support, boosting confidence when every second counts.

The Challenges

The project required rapid hypothesis testing under strict budget and time constraints. We faced three primary hurdles:

Trust in AI: Initial user interviews revealed a strong distrust of AI in healthcare, as hallucinations during an emergency are unacceptable.

Creative Direction: We had to convince the founders to avoid using literal images of injured or suffering people on the website, as the brand needed to instill calmness and confidence.

Investor Appeal: As a highly humane product rather than a standard sales-boosting tool, we anticipated friction during the investor look-up stage.

Strategy & Validation

We established the digital strategy, Unique Value Proposition (UVP), and defined our core customer segments. To overcome AI skepticism, we deliberately minimized the focus on the AI technology itself. Instead, we built an appealing landing page that leveraged statistical data and testimonials from happy users to establish immediate trust.

The client already conducted first aid lectures for large groups, providing an excellent channel to promote the future product and collect specific user feedback. We tested the landing page using paid ads, and the resulting high percentage of sign-ups provided strong early signals of product-market fit.

Execution & Prototyping

Following successful validation, we moved into functional prototype development.

Core Technology: The functional MVP was built using ElevenLabs TTV models, trained exclusively on medically approved first aid protocols.

Interface Design: We designed intuitive panic-mode user flows and emergency symptom selection screens tailored for high-stress scenarios, ensuring a clean, minimal interface that supports rapid interaction.

Investor Assets: A fully clickable high-fidelity prototype was created specifically to share with potential investors.

Learnings & Outcomes

Testing the functional prototype revealed critical usability edge cases that directly impacted our feature list.

Environmental Edge Cases: Voice recognition performed poorly in noisy conditions. In response, we introduced an alternative fallback flow allowing users to switch to clickable, on-screen instructions.

Continuous Improvement: We implemented a reporting mechanism for users to flag misleading or problematic responses, creating a closed loop to improve app accuracy.

The MVP and the landing page successfully proved product/market fit and readied the startup for the investor lookup stage. Currently, legal consultation is underway to determine if the application must be classified and regulated as a medical device under local laws.
